NetCut

NetCut is a LAN scanner. The program allows you to make a topology of the entire LAN, supports scanning through several independent network adapters at once. Available for both desktop and Android versions of the OS. The interface is multilingual, also available in Russian.

Functionality overview

NetCut on the PC supports the following tasks:

1. Get detailed report on the local network, on each of the connected devices. It can also detect hosts with hidden SSID by default or MAC spoofing.
2. Search for potential LAN vulnerabilities.
3. Putting users on the LAN out of service (if enabled).
4. Cloning, copying, MAC address backup. It's also possible to create masks to hide the actual information about the installed hardware.
5. Display data about WiFi, other wireless nodes.
6. Change real-time gateway to hide

NetCut for Android has a smaller feature set. The mobile app does not support multiple network interfaces. Also, some utilities work only with root access (forced user disconnection, vulnerability scanning).

NetCut advantage over other scanners

Drivers for all popular network adapters are integrated into NetCut. That allows you to use the application in the OS running without installing it on the hard disk or in the memory of the device. The program is also compatible with ARP and allows to detect spoof attacks. It is available both for x86 and ARM processors.

Who needs it

The utility is in demand among system administrators because it can secretly analyze the local network. It also helps to detect unauthorized connections, you can configure it to send notification if a new node or gateway is detected. NetCut can also be used to provide anonymous access to public access points. That is, to hide the SSID, device ID or "mask" it with a third-party MAC.
